BIO

Lana Kova is a NYC based artist and fashion model. In her artwork Lana explores feeling of intimacy and confrontation, repetition, rhythm and deformation.

Lana was raised in Russia north of the Arctic Circle and after earning her master degree in Economics in St.Petersburg moved to Paris for an international career in modeling. During that time she has lived in Paris, London, Berlin and Milan, modeled for Karl Lagerfeld, Van Cleef and Arpels, Rodarte, Derek Lam, Diane von Furstenberg, Maiyet to name a few and posed for Vanidad, Elle, Crash, Trahoi, V , Gala, Glamour, L'Officiel and many other magazines.  Experience of being a part of design process of top fashion companies developed Lana's unique approach to her own design and keen eye for surface treatment, detail and proportion.

Self taught in sculpture and painting through personal research and practice and multicultural exposure during years in Europe, Lana took classes to hone her techniques in La Grande Chaumiere in Paris for drawing and Greenwich House Pottery in New York for ceramics.
